Clean Technology Events
The green technology industry is growing rapidly, and this means that there are an increasing number of events designed to promote green technology and to connect people from different areas of green technology.
Some events focus on consumers or business, while others concentrate on technology and manufacturing. Many of the largest green technology events have now been going for several years.
Greenovation Conference
This event has been held yearly since 2004. It is organized by the Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center and is held in Massachusetts, usually at the beginning of November.
The conference runs over two days and focuses on helping green technology businesses to find investors and funding to develop their products and projects.
The conference offers an opportunity for startup businesses to give presentations to potential investors. There are also discussions and presentations by researchers; panel discussions on technology issues and on business planning; and lectures and panels by business and finance leaders on issues facing companies entering the green technology industry.Go Green Conference
This event is organized by green marketing experts Social Enterprises and has been running since 2007. It is usually held in April, and is located in a different city each year, in 2010 it was held in Austin, Texas. The event focuses on helping to motivate and inspire businesses to incorporate more green technology and sustainable practices into their operations.
The event features talks and presentations by business leaders, eco-entrepreneurs and sustainability experts designed to demonstrate ways to increase sustainable practices. Topics covered may include ways to build sustainably, how to set and maintain objectives for using green technology, funding and education opportunities, using electric vehicles in business and how to reduce your carbon footprint.
Renewable Energy World
The Renewable Energy World Conference & Expo North America has been held yearly since 2002. It takes place over three days, usually in March, and is held in different cities each year.
In 2010 it was held in Tampa, Florida. Organized by PennWell Corporation, publishers specializing in green technology publications, the event offers talks, panel discussions, workshops, presentations and demonstrations in areas such as waste-to-energy, hydrogen and fuel cell technology, how to market green technology, financing renewable energy, government incentive programs and funding, end-use applications and national security implications of green technology.
There are also hundreds of exhibits by equipment manufacturers, builders, law firms, NGOs, investment firms and others.
